The Hysterical Ladies presents 'The Catalogue of Sexual Anxieties'
**** “It's a bold original” ****
"If the Andrews sisters sang about Genital warts and masturbation"
“A strikingly sexy trio reveal the hidden unspoken secrets of femininity”
A Musical Cabaret exploring the sexual awakenings & escapades of Three "Hysterical" Ladies! Just like Monty Python and the Holy Grail, three women find themselves on a quest. A quest on behalf of women everywhere to figure out one of life's ultimate questions: Am I sexually normal? With original music inspired by the Andrew Sisters, they journey through hysterical chapters that reflect on personal journeys of sexual anxiety, repression and even liberation!
Ahead of the Lambeth Fringe we spoke to the team behind the show.
What can you tell me about your show?
We are an international female trio who commiserate on stage over the trials and tribulations of sex. With tight three part harmonies and loose jokes we tackle the question Am I sexually normal?

How would you describe the style of the show?
Our show is a comedy musical satire with original jazzy tunes and lush three part harmonies inspired by the Andrews Sisters.

How have you approached developing the piece?
It all began in 2021 with three friends from Royal Conservatoire of Scotland meeting in a cafe. After many rounds of "Oh you get that one straggly hair there too? and “Does your orgasm face look as weird as mine?" A show was born. We are from three different countries, so the work began over zoom.

Once a draft was created, we collaborated on the score with our composer Patrice peyrires in Paris, and then debuted the show at the Edmonton fringe, Canada, my home city! Now we are fulfilling our next goal by bringing it to Marion and Charlottes home cities London and Paris!
Just you know a calm warm up, maybe some yoga
If your show was a biscuit, what would it be and why?
Lady fingers?
No Macaroons!
They are decadent and have many layers, they come in a variety of sizes and colours. And They take time, love, and care to make, like our show.
Plus! if you take a second glance they’re very suggestive.
Shhhhhh

Give me a random fact about you/the show?
Fun fact! The first female vibrator was invented to cure female “hysteria” allegedly caused by the uterus. If you want to know more historical facts and personal stories about the HYSTERICAL LADIES come see the show!

What do you hope an audience takes a way from seeing the show?
Our ambition is to normalise the abnormal! By airing out our own sexual anxieties, we hope to bring light to issues that all women face. life’s too short to worry about vagina size alone!
