In our ongoing Edinburgh Fringe interview series, we are speaking to artists and creatives who are bringing their shows to the Scottish capital this summer.
In this interview, Kheski Kobler and Holly Wilson-Guy discusses their show DYKE Systems Ltd.
Tell us all about your show.
DYKE Systems Ltd throws you into the twisted world of Multi-Level Marketing. It follows Sally and Susan, two suburban business women hustling their way to the top of the corporate pyramid. So bring your wallets, your carabiner and get ready to find your inner Dynamic! Young! Knowledgeable! Entrepreneur!

3 words that describe the show.
We actually have 4! “business seminar - suburban nightmare” Tell us about your inspiration We have so many different inspirations! We love John Waters and his films like Pink Flamingos and A Dirty Shame. Cabaret and drag are huge influences for us. With queer venues closing at an alarming rate and having started our careers in those basement bars, it feels important to us to uplift and honour that world. Drag is political as well as silly, camp, and fun!

How would you describe the style of the show?
Camp, silly, drag with heavy influence in cabaret and absurdist theatre! It’s fast paced and gives you bang for your buck - oh and great wigs!

How have you approached developing the show?
We’ve been lucky to work closely with our brilliant friend and director Lucy Allan. It’s been a cycle of writing, rewriting, and running the show to work out the kinks. Along the way, we’ve soaked up tons of inspiration—watching films, seeing cabaret, and diving deep into all the weird and wonderful things that fuel our creativity.
What other acts are you looking forward to seeing at the Fringe?
There are so many shows we can’t wait to see at the Fringe this year! Just to name a few: In
Bed With My Brother’s new show Philosophy of the World, Su Mi:
THISMOTHERPHUCKER, and Cabbage the Clown: Cinemadrome. The programme is full
of incredible work by queer artists, and we feel so lucky to be part of it.
How do you prepare for the Fringe?
Trying to grab some sleep while we still can and not get too overwhelmed by all the admin we have to do, not sure it’s working though!
Away from your show, what are you most looking forward to about Edinburgh?
Edinburgh is such a fun city! We’ve visited many times but have never managed to walk up Arthur’s Seat, so that’s definitely on our list. Mostly, we’re excited to see lots of art and have some beers.
First piece of theatre that had an impact?
Maybe not the first piece of theatre I saw that had an impact but we were recently lucky enough to see Natalie Palamides “Weer” which was incredible. Her chaotic clowning style mixed with the love story within the show was one of the best things I’ve seen and if you ever get the opportunity make sure you go!

What do you hope an audience member should take away with them?
Ideally a burning desire to become a recruit of DYKE System Ltd and rope in all their friends! Seriously though, we hope our audience falls in love with the characters, starts to question their role within capitalist constructs and ultimately has a really great time laughing so much it hurts!
Dyke Systems Ltd runs at Pleasance Courtyard - Cellar from Wednesday 30th July until Monday 25th August 2025. Tickets are available from https://www.edfringe.com/tickets/whats-on/dyke-systems-ltd
