Circuit Breakers:

If you're looking for a side-chick valentines show then you've come to the right place...

A night for up and coming breakout comedians to show us what they've got, Circuit Breakers offered up a distinctly Gen-Z lineup tonight who showed a heap of promise and a dollap of emotional trauma. For some of our comedians, I can see a long term relationship brewing but for others...well it was a fun night but let's just say you won't be shouting thier name when morning comes.

I've got full respect for anyone getting on stage to try and make people laugh and this audience were not giving our comedians an easy ride. But a little more audience interaction and a few less props would have gone a long way in some of these sets. For some at times it felt like the audience was an unfortunate by-product of doing a show rather than a part of the experience. But for others, the audience were their best mate being invited into their house or their workplace and bought along for the ride. Ibs Sesay had us all in stitches and Pheobe Taylor has convinced me I need to take better advantage of my family's fears...or send her mum a rat pic idk.

They may be new to the scene but with a bit of graft, these sidechicks will be wifeys in no time.
