Legally Blonde The Musical, inspired by the 2001 film, follows Elle Woods on her unexpected journey from the sunny comforts of California to the halls of Harvard Law. What begins as a quest to win back the man she loves quickly transforms into a story of self‑discovery, resilience, and unapologetic authenticity. It’s a feel‑good whirlwind grounded in strong values and set against a delightfully unpredictable backdrop.

Under the direction of Nikolai Foster, the production bursts with life. Leah Hill’s choreography is fresh and playful, while the creative team, Ben Cracknell (lighting), Colin Richmond (set), Tom Rogers (costume), and Sam Cox (wigs, hair, and makeup), crafts a vibrant world that celebrates individuality at every turn.
Leading the company is Amber Davies as Elle Woods, delivering a performance full of confidence, charisma, and irresistible charm. Her vocals are consistently strong, her delivery effortless, and her nuanced mannerisms make Elle both hilarious and deeply relatable. She brings vulnerability to the role that elevates the entire production.
As Emmett Forrest, George Crawford offers a beautifully balanced performance, confident yet gentle, grounded yet endearing. His vocals shine in numbers like Chip on My Shoulder and Take It Like a Man, and his chemistry with Davies creates a believable, heartfelt partnership.
A standout highlight is Karen Mavundukure as Paulette. Her vocal control in Ireland is exceptional, and her comedic timing is impeccable. She pairs wonderfully not only with Davies but also with Ty‑Reece Stewart, who brings charm and swagger to Kyle.

The show’s Greek Chorus, Hannah Lowther (Margot), Rosanna Harris (Serena), and Remi Ferdinand (Pilar), deliver tight harmonies and infectious energy. Their presence electrifies numbers like Ohmigod You Guys, Bend and Snap, and the brilliantly exaggerated Positive.
Additional strong performances come from Annabelle Terry (Vivian), Adam Cooper (Professor Callahan), Jamie Chatterton (Warner), Jocasta Almgill (Brooke Wyndham), and Keanna Bloomfield (Enid Hoopes).
The ensemble, James Lim, Aaron Shales, Bradley Delarosbel, Jaime Tait, Louie Wood, Daisy Twells, Raiaz Fisher, Dylan Gordon‑Jones, and Lauren Hampton, is the heartbeat of the production. Their vocals, precision, and sheer enthusiasm lift every scene and make the audience want to leap out of their seats and join in.
And of course, the most adorable applause goes to Sprout and Milo, who play Bruiser and Rufus. Their every entrance melted the audience.
This production honours the heart of the original story while adding fresh twists, vibrant energy, and a renewed sense of fun. It reinforces the timeless message of never judging a book by its cover and always staying true to yourself. With its humour, heart, and high‑octane spirit, this musical will leave you Whipped into Shape, it’s an absolute must‑see.
