The piece is elevated in the second half of the show as it turns into a digital live action play. Each cast member has a platform they lie on, using their feet to glide smoothly across the stage in synchronised patterns. By shifting the camera angle to the aerial perspective, simple ground-level motions instantly morph into hilarious, trick-of-the-eye sequences of swimming, dynamic sports, and fluid tumbling routines.
Visual inventiveness takes centre stage in Noted, a high-energy non-verbal production driven by simple materials and clever stagecraft.
The four-member cast arrive wearing custom paper backpacks detailed with bold felt-tip line drawings. In a recurring gag, the performers tear off each top layer to reveal a fresh illustration underneath, gradually transforming the stage into a chaotic, artful sea of discarded paper. Sequences range from nods to The Lion King, A Chorus Line and Angry Birds. Blending reality with the surreal nature of the clowning. While the sheer volume of single-use sheets might leave eco-conscious audience members wincing at the mess, the cast's infectious enthusiasm and spontaneous, rhythmic dance breaks keep the atmosphere light and merry.

Noted balances playful simplicity with clever video technology, delivered by a compelling cast whose joy and energy is genuinely infectious. The display of athleticism and stamina never relents throughout the performance. There are moments that do dip and it can be difficult to focus on the live performance or the delayed video capture that is projected but on the whole Noted is a warm, lighthearted and gentle experience that is a lovely start to the day.
